Mission
PaperCardShop’s goal is to offer the best selection of paper greeting cards on the Web. We screen thousands of cards from more than a hundred publishers so that you can find the perfect card.

PaperCardShop.com’s website launched in December 2011. We offer cards for important occasions like birthdays and anniversaries, as well as cards for holidays like Christmas and Mother’s Day. Over time, we will greatly expand our collection of cards.

Our aim, however, is not to have the largest selection of greeting cards on the Web. Rather our objective is to save you time by offering only the best cards from the best publishers.

Hard-to-find cards from independent designers
In the last dozen years, many new, talented designers have emerged—creating cards that provide an exciting alternative to traditional cards. Typically, these artists distribute their cards themselves or through boutique publishers. Many of their cards are handmade. You won’t find these distinctive cards at the local pharmacy or a franchise card store. You may only find a sampling at a specialty card shop.

Our passion is to screen the thousands of cards available from boutique publishers, and to offer you a unique collection of their most appealing designs. In addition, we offer a large selection of quality mainstream cards.

Browse cards 5 times faster than in a store
Have you ever made a trip to the pharmacy or other shop that sells cards, and then spent 10 or 20 minutes lifting cards in and out of racks searching for just the right card—only to settle on a card that was only “acceptable”?

We intend to solve that problem. At PaperCardShop.com, you can quickly browse hundreds of cards and find just the right one.

Start by going to the category page for the type of card that you are looking for, like “get well.” One way to do this is to position the cursor on “occasion cards” or “holiday cards” in the header at the top of the page.

A dropdown menu appears. Find the category that you are seeking and click on it. That action takes you to the category page with thumbnail pictures of cards.

Skim the thumbnail images. When a card catches your interest, simply position the cursor on the thumbnail, and an image of the front and inside of the card appears instantly. No need to click and wait for a pop-up window.

The image disappears as soon as you move the cursor off the thumbnail.

In minutes, you can screen hundreds of cards and find that special card you are seeking—one that will delight the recipient.

More browsing tips
Mark a thumbnail for further consideration by clicking the highlight box (Highlight ) above the thumbnail. This action highlights the thumbnail in blue so that you can find it quickly. Uncheck the box to remove the highlight.

If you wish more information about a card, click on the thumbnail itself. That action takes you to a page with a large picture of the card and a detailed description.

The actual cards are often more attractive than the images you see on your computer screen
We try very hard to capture each card’s image, but some cards are difficult to display accurately on a computer screen. Embellishments like glitter, foil and holograms are challenging. Embossing, layers, and paper texture are difficult. Three-dimensional cards with decorative objects affixed to them and pop-up cards are hard to portray on a flat screen. Gold and silver may appear grayish rather than their true colors. Type is often sharper and more readable on the physical card.

A further complication is that monitors vary greatly in how they portray colors, and in their brightness settings. Over time, computer screens tend to dim, resulting in darker images.
